I have been teaching piano since 1980, and I can't imagine a more rewarding or enjoyable career. I get to combine my loves of children, music and toys! My studio blends traditional, private, classically-based instruction with a state-of-the-art music technology lab. I'm the author of "Electrify Your Studio," a guidebook for teachers wanting to integrate technology into their traditional studios.
I want my students to love music. In addition to their classical pieces, supplemental pieces--jazz, popular, etc.--are added to their repertoire as requested.
Each lesson is followed by a 30 minute computer lab session. My library of music software is exhaustive. If I don't have it, it's on the nearest UPS truck! Assignments include note reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, music appreciation and more.
My studio includes: a 6' 11" Yamaha Disklavier Grand, PC and Macintosh stations with keyboards, a full-size Yamaha digital keyboard, and eight other keyboards used for Keyboard Ensembles!
It's a fun place to learn!
