My degree is in music (Pacific Lutheran University, 1996)with a vocal performance emphasis.
I studied voice with Marcia Baldwin, Mira Frohnmayer and Jeff Moidel.I started out in music theatre, studying with David Craig in Los Angeles.
I recieved my training in viola with Virginia Majesky in Los Angeles.

I am an active soloist (mezzo soprano)I mainly sing oratorio and recitals. I have sung in professional choirs such as Choral Arts Northwest and the Seattle Symphony Chorale.
I started out as a violist in the Los Angeles Youth Symphony and the South Bay Symphony. I mainly do freelance work. I have been teaching 20 plus years. I opened my music studio in Kent,Washington ten years ago. I love to teach! I enjoy working with students to bring out the best musician in them. We work on the fundementals:theory, technique, ear training, etc. Also, I pay close attention to the interest of the student. I encourage composition and ensemble playing. Recitals and addtional performance opportunities are available in my studio.
