Claire comes from a musical family- her mother was a piano teacher and organist, her father a clarinetist, her sister an accomplished flutist and pianist. Music has always been a major factor in her life.
She teaches oboe and clarinet as well as the occasional flute student.
She has extensive piano experience, especially in accompaniment, having accompanied choirs, vocalists and instrumental soloists and ensembles.
She is comfortable with young and old.
She was on the faculty of the Shepherd's School of Music, Fort St John, British Columbia where she taught woodwind and piano.
She is currently oboist and pianist in the group "Musicali" which plays classical and traditional music.
