Lewis Moore has been teaching music for over 30 years. He has a BS in Music Education from Auburn University. He also has training with the New School Of American Music to teach Chord Style Piano and Piano By Ear. He teaches this material both privately and in group sessions. Lewis presently teaches Music Theory, Music Appreciation , Middle School Music and K-4 Music at Dawson Street Christian School and at First Baptist Church in LaGrange GA. In 2006 he was the only piano instructor at Toms Music. That year the LaGrange Daily News picked Toms Music at the best place to take piano lessons.
I teach in LaGrange Georgia on Tuesday's at First Baptist Church and on Thursdays I teach out of my home in Valley Alabama. Once Tuesday's and Thursday's are filled there is a possibility that I will be available on Wednesdays either in the Valley or the Opelika area. My personal philosophy of music education is that anyone can learn to play. Your time and my patience can take you much further than natural musical talent. What ever goals you have in learning music, I will be there to help and encourage you. Learning music can be very beneficial in that it brings not only personal enjoyment but builds self esteem. Children who learn music at an early age make better grades in school.

I also offer group lessons to Churches. Taking group lessons is
fun and less expensive than private lessons. Rates are as low as $10 per hour per student. I have a vision to help churches grow in their music department by offering instruction to lay leaders and worship teams.
