Music is about more than just playing an instrument. It's about being able to sit down at your instrument and make up a tune, picking up a chord progression in a jam session or hearing a song on the radio and being able to sing it back. At Sonder Music, Dance & Art, we teach music literacy and technical proficiency and artistry on your instrument. However, we also teach ear training, music appreciation, and improvisation skills, to make you a more complete musician. Writing music and improvising keeps kids excited about music. Our creative and supportive learning environment encourages both kids and adults to get the most out of their lessons. In addition to our music lessons and classes, we offer dance and visual art classes, many of which incorporate music, story and metaphor as teaching tools. We also host regular arts events, including concerts, art openings and workshops. It's our belief that actively supporting and promoting the arts fosters creativity in our students and our community.
