I started playing guitar over 30 years ago when a friend of mine showed me how to play a few simple chords at age 19. Playing guitar became an obsession so at age 22 I enrolled in the Roosevelt University guitar program to learn the basics of music and performance.

At age 30 I moved to live music capital Austin, TX to perform with a variety of bands in the vast local scene. Under the tutelage of Austin jazz guitar masters Clay Moore and Glen Rexach and inspired by the likes of Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny, I performed with local bands such as Espresso Swing, Innervision, Mosaic, Casey and the Thin Men, among others. Because most venues in Austin do not pay enough to support a full band, I later formed a guitar duo with fellow guitar player Dave Koeppe. We played together for several years at weddings, parties, and coffee shops.

After moving to Las Cruces in early 2007, I now teach guitar and perform instrumental guitar at several restaurants including The Mix, St Clairs Winery & Bistro, Si's Italian Bistro, Guacamoles, and Ripe Market & Eatery.
