I am proud to have taught violin and viola for over 30 years while maintaining an active career as a concert musician. My students have ranged from ages 4 to 87 and I have enjoyed a great rapport with them. Many of my students have gone on to earn music scholarships, degrees, and have won competitions in Violin & Viola. Some are professional musicians today. I am currently on the faculty teaching violin at Westmont college & have taught String Methods at Cal State Fullerton.
I am an active soloist, chamber, studio & orchestral musician. My career includes performances with artists like: Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Zubin Mehta, Henryk Szeryng, Joshua Bell & Gil Shaham. In addition, I have performed & recorded with pop artists: Lalo Schifrin, Frank Capp, Ray Charles, Diane Schuur, George Benson, Barry White, Barry Manilow, Doc Severenson, James Galway, Roger Williams, Michael Jackson & Bobby Vinton.
Along with my position in the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, I have been concertmaster of the Crystal Cathedral Orchestra, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Antelope Valley Symphony, & West Coast Symphony. I have played principal second violin for the Glendale & the New West Symphonies.
I am proud to be the first violinist for the Avanti String Quartet who were Artists in Residence at Clemson University. We have performed many concerts and fundraisers in Southern California.
I invented & patented the "Acoustifoam" violin & viola shoulder rest.
