Nationally and Permanently Certified in Piano teaching with Music Teacher's National Association. Member of MTNA, TMTA, WMTA, NFMC, TFMC and the local federated music club.

Was awarded 2001-2002 Outstanding Teacher award by University of Central Arksansas Community School of Music.

Valerie-Klipsch Piano Performance Scholarship.

Graduated with a Magna Cum Laude, 3.9 grade average.

Have a current teaching license out of state, and a Texas Educator License. Have experience teaching in public schools, in Waco and Arkansas. I am certified in Instrumental and Vocal Music K-12, and Spanish K-12.
Also have been a Paid performer many times.

Have experience teaching music privately in my own studio about 20 years. I teach piano and violin lessons in these areas in Texas: Hewitt, Waco, Woodway, Lorena, Robinson, McGregor, Bruceville and Eddy.
My motto is: "Your success is my success." I love to see you be surprised at what you can do. :) Degree in Music Education, Piano/vocal/ strings. My students get scholarships.

Average about 50 students for many years. Taught more than 100 students private music lessons over a 20 year period from ages 5 to 84.
Started taking lessons at the age of 7.
Took lessons for many years from Dr. Carl Anthony, the principal concert pianist at the Little Rock Symphony.

I have also taken piano pedagogy (how to teach piano) and piano literature classes from an International Piano Competition gold medal winner, Neil Rutman. He has many international awards and has even performed in Carnegie Hall.

I took violin lessons from Dr. Linda Hsu, the Concertmaster of the Little Rock Symphony for several years.

I also took lessons from 2 state Fiddle Champions, Timothy Trawick and Bill Thurman. Also studied with Mia Orosco, a National Fiddle Champion. However, I started playing the violin in 3rd grade.

Attended numerous piano, music, and violin teaching workshops in and out of state. Did freelance writing and photography for the Little Rock Newspaper, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, front page of the River Valley Section. Taught Beginning and Intermediate Spanish at McClennan Community College for the Adult Education Department. Taught Elementary Music in Clinton, Arkansas. Taught Elementary Music in Waco ISD. Have a Standard Teaching Certificate. Homeschooled my grown children till college.
